The government plans 114 days of activities aimed at healing the rift in the country, Prime Minister Samak Sundaravej said during his Sunday Sonthana Prasa Samak (Talking Samak-style) show.
The campaign would run from Her Majesty the Queen's birthday on Aug 12 to Dec 3.
His Royal Highness Crown Prince Maha Vajiralongkorn would preside over the opening ceremony, the prime minister said.
Activities would include a continuous campaign to promote solidarity and the sale of one million wrist bands to raise funds for the Queen's humanitarian activities.
Mr Samak said incitement by a group of people who want to see violence between opposing groups had polarised society.
The celebration of the Queen's birthday would be marked by activities at the Ananta Samakhom Throne Hall, Dusit Palace and the Royal Plaza.
Mr Samak criticised the People's Alliance for Democracy's long-running protest against the government. He claimed PAD leaders wanted to incite a violent clash between anti-government and pro-government demonstrators so that the military could step in and again seize power.
He also claimed PAD leaders had plans to take control of city halls around the country.
Mr Samak again denied the government was involved in the bloody attack on PAD supporters by the Khon Rak Udon group in Udon Thani.
