The Football Association of Thailand (FAT) and the new national coach Peter Reid will sign a four-year contract today at the Radisson hotel at 2pm.
The former Everton and England international arrived in Bangkok last week and has already got down to work.
Chief of the FAT Worawi Makudi said Reid watched matches in the Thailand Premier League last weekend.
The FAT has also prepared a video of the Thai team during the World Cup qualifying round.
''It will give him an idea of how the Thai team plays,'' said Worawi.
''If he needs anything else, we will arrange it. He has full authority as national coach.''
Worawi confirmed the contract would be for four years.
Concerning the staff coaches, Worawi said he hoped former national mid-fielder Surachai Jaturapattarapong, who is now the staff coach for Home United in the S-League in Singapore, would be available. However, he was not sure if he could leave the Singapore club immediately.
Another staff coach is expected to be former captain Tawan Sripan.
