British Airways is offering special fares to Australia for passengers flying the World Traveller Plus, the airline's premium economy cabin.
The World Traveller Plus features five rows of seats in a separate cabin in 2-4-2 configuration characterised by larger seats and extra wide legroom, with fully adjustable headrest, footrest and lumbar support, along with in-seat power and telephones.
Tickets for flying Bangkok to Sydney, Melbourne or Brisbane start from 43,010 baht. Passengers booking before August 31 receive 30 per cent discount.

Boat racing season is here
The 21st edition of the annual Thailand International Swan Boat Races and Long Boat Race Championship will take place September 13-14 at Bang Sai Royal Folk Arts and Crafts Centre in Ayutthaya Province.
First held in 1986, the popularity of Swan Boat races grew both nationally as well as regionally, which prompted the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) to introduce the Long Boat race in 1999. The races are run on the Chao Phraya River.
Swan races feature 22 paddlers per boat. Seventeen nations have entered this contest. The Long Boat race is contested in two categories - one featuring 55 paddlers and the other 30 paddlers.

Merit-making festival
Religious rites marking the 10th lunar month, or Sart Duan Sib, is one of the most awaited festivals in southern Thailand during which, according to Buddhist belief, people make merit and offer prayers seeking blessings from Buddha and reunion with spirits of deceased relatives.
The festival runs from today until October 2.
During the period southern people offer alms comprising of five confections that represent different beliefs and are unique to these rites. Besides, people also use the occasion to donate items of daily use to monks.
The main rites will take place at Wat Phra Mahathat Woramahaviharn and Suan Somdej Phra Srinakarindra 84 (Thung Tha Lat Park) in Muang district of Nakhon Si Thammarat.
Also on the cards are various forms of entertainment and sale of local handicraft and farm products.
