Mr. Kitti Chaiwattanatorn - Managing Director

The ECCO Tannery, which was opened in 1999, supplies leather to companies within the ECCO Group and has a separate management structure from the shoe factory.

Always on the move

ECCO Thailand produces about 70,000 pairs of shoes every week for the international market. Combining the best of Danish design with premium raw materials and superb craftsmanship, ECCO Thailand draws strength from a highly skilled and dedicated workforce, backed by the invaluable transfer of advanced technology from overseas.

ECCO carries out constant research on new and better material, and, in fact, has been able to invent a number of such materials. Sophisticated technology further ensures quality at the ECCO Test Centre, where all shoe components are tested before being used in production.

In ECCO’s design department, where ideas first take shape, internationally recognised designers work with more than 400 different shoe models.

Apart from pioneering in robot technology, ECCO was the first company within the shoe industry to develop state-of-the-art transport systems and groundbreaking hi-tech precision production methods. Its state-of-the-art tanneries enable the company to develop leather and new leather types, giving ECCO a competitive edge over competitors.

Over the years, ECCO has put a lot of effort into developing advanced outsoles and insoles with a range of functions, with high technology always playing an important role.
