Established in 1990 as Thai Klinipro Co., Ltd., Molnlycke Health Care (Thailand) Ltd. changed its name to the current one on 3 January 2002, after Molnlycke Health Care AB of Sweden acquired a 51% share from Berli Jucker Public Company Limited in October 2001.

Backed by technology transfers from Sweden, as well as Swedish production techniques and management expertise, Molnlycke Health Care (Thailand) Limited's state-of-the-art factory in Bangplee Industrial Estate Samut Prakan is the company's first BOI-promoted production plant. It is capable of manufacturing high-quality single-use surgical products for both the Klinidrape® and BARRIER® brands.

In order to better serve the growing demands of its customers, Molnlycke Health Care (Thailand) opened its second factory in April 2002 in Amata Nakorn Industrial Estate, Chon Buri. The company's new state-of-the-art factory implements a Just-In-Time production system for increased efficiency, speed and product quality.

Outstanding achievements

* The first company in Thailand to receive ISO 9002 & EN 46002 certifications for the manufacture of single-use surgical and protective gowns from the British Standards Institute (BSI) of the United Kingdom in 1995
* ISO 9001 & EN 46001 certificate from BSI in 1999, allowing the company to pursue R&D work in the field of medical devices
* ISO 14001 certification from BSI in 2002
* 35% sales growth (1992-2001)
* 65% sales growth projected in 2002
