The Oriental, Bangkok

The history of The Oriental, Bangkok dates back to
1876, when the hotel was just a boarding house for seamen. In 1967, Dr. Chaijudh Karnasuta and Mr. Giorgio Berlingieri took over the hotel. Subsequently, it has been managed by the Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group. October 1967 marked the beginning of Mr. Kurt Wachtveitl’s long-time service as general manager.
