เรื่องของท้องถิ่นนั้นเรานึกเป็นภาษาอังกฤษไม่ค่อยจะออก เวลาจะพูดถึงก็อึกอัก
เพราะเราไม่เคยได้เห็นหรือได้ยินเป็นภาษาอังกฤษ และไม่มีให้อ่านด้วย ดังนั้น

Cut in excise sought on local brews

The Senate was yesterday urged to help cut the excise on rice whisky locally produced in Nakhon Ratchasima, Buri Ram and elsewhere in the Northeast.

Representatives of Local Liquor Producers Network of Thailand lodged a petition with the Senate committee on economics and the Senate committee on public participation calling for the cut in excise on local liquor, or lao khao.

The Excise Department charges can average 6,000 baht excise for the liquor produced by one tambon but the network's Virapon Sopa argued the rate was too high.

"The sale of 100 urns like this will not make as much as 6,000 baht to pay for that excise," he said, pointing at urns containing the liquor during a press conference at parliament.
