Sap Jaak Khao looks at a selection of vocabulary from a timely news story in both Thai and English. It is helpful for learners of both languages

We've followed several reports on war in Iraq in order to build a set of war vocabulary. This week we're still focussing on the same technique but with a new type of story, the spreading of Sars. According to this Post Today report, Thailand is ready to propose its control measures over the disease to the Asean summit this Friday. Ten health ministers from Asean and four other East Asian countries will join the meeting to seek common measures to control Sars.
